Inheritance

What have I to give you, my son?

But what my father gave to me:

A sorrow, and a sword, and a sickness

That has slain the sons of every house.

What have I to give you, my son?

But what my father gave to me:

A sighing, and a song, and a story

That could steer the sundered back to soundness.
